Beijing is very well served by its Capital International Airport (airport code is PEK). Now Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) has three terminals (T1, T2 and T3) in operation. Transport links to and from the city are equally well covered by either the train (Airport Express) which connects with the metro system or by taxi. It is recommended to only use the taxis from the official airport taxi rank.
Taxi fares from the airport to the area around the BICC venue average approximately 100 Yuan. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes to cover the 23km distance outside the rush hour.
Taxis in Beijing may be picked up at taxi stand, or flagged down in the street. Always check that the meters are running. taxis must usually be paid by cash.
Taking bus is the cheapest means of transportation, which covers the whole city. Most of the buses are available between 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The starting fare of public buses is 2 yuan in the city and 4 yuan in the suburb areas.
